About Us

Magnolia & Fig was opened in February of 2016, just two months before my son was born. (Talk about timing--and signing a lease days before a surprise pregnancy test!) I left my (wonderful, stable) corporate job as a buyer at Whole Foods Market to take a gamble on a dream: to show women that getting dressed can be fun again, that personal style is the key to authentic confidence and joy in your day-to-day, and that shopping can feel like a trip to your best friend's closet. 

Fast forward ten years and counting, and we are known throughout Louisville, and in many cities across the US, for our wonderful, above-and-beyond customer service, personalized styling help, and carefully hand-selected apparel, accessories, jewelry, and fragrance. Everything in the shop is hand-picked for you by me, and is now finally also all represented on our website, after years of hard work. 

In September 2025, we were voted Best Women's Boutique in Louisville by LEO Weekly, an iconic yearly award that highlights some of the best and longstanding local businesses around town. Whether you're a Louisville native, or just in town visiting, we would love to see you at our storefront on Frankfort Ave. (ask us for dining recommendations while you're here!) and if you can't make in to Derby City, Bourbon Capital Of The World, we hope you'll enjoy shopping online.
